Dr. Fatma Şeyma Keskin is a dedicated Lecturer in the Architecture Department, specializing in structures and building materials. Awarded a Turkish Government Scholarship, she completed her PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Birmingham, focusing on life cycle analysis and the sustainability of post-disaster buildings. She also served as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Birmingham, mentored and supervised master's students, and earned recognition as an Associate Fellow from HEFi. Following this, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the C-DICE (Centre for Postdoctoral Development in Infrastructure Cities and Energy) project based at Cranfield University, engaging in global net-zero carbon and energy studies, fostering collaborations, and networking across interdisciplinary domains.
Dr. Keskin is an experienced researcher with expertise in life cycle analysis, sustainable building practices and net-zero developments. She is skilled in collaboration and networking and is eager to develop her abilities further in order to make meaningful contributions to the built environment and net-zero transition.
